Web Based MP3 Jukeboxes and Libraries

I’ve been using mp3act for a web-based mp3 playlist editor / streaming application for about a year now, but development has stopped for what I will now assume is permanent. The development page was last updated January 13th, 2006.

Mp3act was a great start at streaming playlists with a good interface, but there are some features I’d really like to have.

I did a recent search and found some projects (old and new) that I hadn’t seen before. (I haven’t tried any of these yet).
otto audio jukebox perl based mp3 database and jukebox - looks sleek and simple, but hasn’t been updated in a while (last software update was 2002, but the latest public forum request was answered in 2005).

agatha - mp3 your way looks like a barebones jukebox

ampache seems to be the most updated and supported - there’s a dev snapshot from 12 days ago (11/12/2006). Dev branch claims a “democratic” play mode where users mod/vote up songs to the “base playlist”. Might be interesting to try.

If I feel compelled at some point while working before finals - I’ll holla with the results of trying these.
